About us

Q1 Foundation, operating as The Care Hub, is at the heart of the community in Goring and the surrounding area.

Our vision is of a thriving and inclusive community where local residents, especially the most vulnerable, can realise their full potential and take an active role in their communities and society.

We are currently playing a pivotal role in our community's Covid response - providing a Villages Helpline, and supporting the vaccination clinics with volunteer marshals and drivers.

Q1 Foundation provides easily-accessible personal advice, social interaction and guidance for our local community; preventing isolation, growing community connections and improving quality of life for all.

In "normal" times, we achieve this through:

  • Providing 1-1 guidance and advice for things like benefit applications, and/or signposting to other relevant organisations
  • Coordinating an active network of volunteers providing assistance and support
  • Hosting community information events and drop in sessions
  • Running regular social and wellbeing activities eg seated excercise, chess and puzzle clubs
  • Recieving foodbank donations
  • Providing a relaxed and dementia-friendly venue for people to meet and chat, or carers to connect with one another.

As a small, local charity, we are totally reliant on grants and donations to fund this vital service, and would be so grateful if you are able to help playing the South Oxfordshire Lottery - your tickets will help us to keep our Care Hub operating and supporting those in need. It is particularly important that we can continue our services at this very difficult time - when more people than ever are feeling isolated, or need help to access benefits and support.

Please do sign up to play today! I hope your numbers are lucky - and thank you for your support.

Best wishes
